A Message from the President
On behalf of the more than 275 members of the Hernando County Professional Firefighters, I.A.F.F. Local 3760, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your interest in our organization. The unwavering support we receive from our community continues to grow alongside our organization, and we are deeply honored to serve the residents and visitors of Hernando County.
What started as a few small groups of individuals serving their neighborhoods years ago has evolved into the department we are today! We respond to many different types of calls and our duties today include fighting fires, providing excellence in state of the art emergency medical care, urban search and rescue responses, hazardous materials responses, airport firefighting, marine operations and drone pilot operations to name a few.
Our members are more than just firefighters and paramedics—they are integral members of this community. Whether on or off duty, they live, work, and engage in the same neighborhoods, schools, and social groups as the citizens they serve. Their families call Hernando County home, their children attend local schools, and they take part in community events just like you. This shared connection strengthens our commitment to providing the highest level of service and care, because at the end of the day, we are not just first responders—we are your neighbors.
As an association, we are dedicated to serving with honor, integrity, and respect. Beyond our emergency response duties, we strive to build that bond between firefighters and the community through our advocacy and charitable initiatives. Our benevolent relief fund has allowed us to support numerous causes and programs throughout Hernando County, and we look forward to strengthening these partnerships in the years to come.
It is a privilege to serve as part of the leadership team for the past 16 years, and now as President, of this organization, working alongside a remarkable group of professionals who have dedicated their lives to public service.
